  • Legislative District 5 is one of the few “competitive” legislative districts in the whole state of Arizona. There are roughly 100,000 registered voters in our district. Approximately 40,000 are registered Democrats, another 40,000 are registered Republicans, and about 20,000 are “independents,” meaning they did not specify a party preference. Independents are the fasting growing segment of registered voters. While there are a variety of reasons for not specifying a party preference, I am convinced that many “independent” voters are as concerned about the problem of extreme partisanship as I am. In the “blame game,” there are no winners, only losers. Legislative District 5 needs and deserves legislators who are committed to putting the broader interests of all Arizonans above the narrower interests of a specific party.

If elected, I pledge to seek constructive, long-range, practical solutions to the many problems we face.

Seeking common ground makes common sense.
